Colton High School opened in 1895. It is one of the oldest high schools in the Inland Empire. In this daily feature, we celebrate Colton High’s rich history.

The first Colton High School Swarm Invitational was held on September 24, 1974 at the Riverside Raceway. The off-campus site was necessary because renovations were underway on the stadium to replace the wooden benches with metal ones. The Swarm has been held every year since then, except for 2018 and 2020.
