How would you feel if you were left for dead on Mars? Mark Watney, (Matt Damon) the main character in the just released blockbuster The Martian,  takes it better than most of us would.

This film begins with astronauts on a mission on Mars when an unfortunate storm arrives at the wrong time. The group quickly begin to evacuate but, astronaut Watney gets hit with a satellite and is left behind on Mars. Stranded and alone, Mark now has to figure out to a strategy to survive and find a form of communication with NASA to be rescued. NASA also believes Watney died on the mission. What makes it worse it will take four years to communicate with Houston.

This movie is very fascinating and appealing , it was a great science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott. I would highly recommend this film. It is based of the best selling novel of the same name written by Andy Weir.

This movie doesn’t have any aliens or any other life from other than humans; this what makes it interesting . Watney’s main problems revolve around figuring out how to make food and to get help. He never gives up even when seems like there is no hope. This film made you wonder what would happen to this man on this deserted planet. Of course there is always a happy ending, but I won’t spoil it for you. You’ll just have to watch the film and find out.

This is one of those movies you wouldn’t mind watching again. This is one of my favorite Sci-Fi space movies now and I think it will be for a while. It would take a lot to top this movie. This family friendly film  is meant for anyone to enjoy.
