He will find you and he will kill you, and he’ll also make you big bucks at the box office. This years Taken 3 action movie was released January 9th, and made a total of $75,863,651 at the box office. Even though the last two Taken movies were actually about his family getting kidnapped by foreign drug lords, this new movie had a slight twist to it. The new plot of the movie is the main character Bryan Mills finishing this whole taking or kidnapping cycle for good. After killing many of the people who had kidnapped his family, Mills is being hunted down in revenge, but them killing Mills’ ex-wife doesn’t turn out to be a good idea. Mills gets framed for the killing of his wife and now law enforcement is looking to capture this unstoppable man.
Like the last two Taken movies the new one had a lot of action packed scenes. Before this whole fiasco of fighting and shooting started Mills had retired from being a CIA black ops agent to be with his teenage daughter, who was kidnapped in the first movie. When his ex-wife is kidnapped and killed, he is then framed by the killer. Once framed for this murder, the police try to track Mills down but find little luck. The CIA and FBI are also both in on this chase to capture him while Mills tries to discover the real murderer.
Knowing how intelligent Mills is in the movie, Mills decides to go into an underground hideout where he will not be found. While in his hideout Mills contacts his daughter, Kim, and explains what is going on and tells her to keep her daily routine, to deter any suspicion. Mills has his ex-CIA friends backing him, as well as his ex-wife’s husband sending people help him.
Most of the critics that reviewed the movie gave it low ratings and there were also some that believe this Taken trilogy should be ended. The movie was great but the fact that nobody actually gets taken in the movie might have been the reason for the low ratings. As long as liam Neeson is kicking some butt it should be a good movie, right?
