Are you a fan of pop and rap music? Then this song will be your taste. A well known rapper, Logic, released a music video for his song “1-800-273-8255”. This song is apart of his newest album, Everybody, which was released back in May. Logic, also known as Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, has been in this industry for 7 years. He released his first mixtape in 2010 and in 2013 when he released his 4th mixtape, Def Jam Recordings reached out to him for a record deal. The next year ,after already signed with Def Jam, he released his first solo album, Under Pressure. He then released 2 albums in the next couple of years, Everybody being his recent.

Now this song is very important and very inspirational. This song is about suicide and if you need help, get it. The title is actually a suicide hotline. Suicide is a very serious topic and deserves to be addressed. The music video for this is song is very inspirational.

The video shows what the perspective is for someone who doesn’t feel they belong because of his sexual orientation. Throughout, the video he goes through struggles in not feeling accepted. However, he does end up happy in the end.

I really like this song and his whole album. Logic addresses real problems people go through–suicide, anxiety, the struggles of life. This is the first rapper I’ve seen try to make a positive change in the world. Most rappers talk about money, sex, drugs, etc. That’s why I connect more with his music. He addresses things that need to be talked about or be aware of. I cried when I heard the song as with the video. I’ve known people who have tried doing this or just in general very hard for them to handle the world. Which is why this song means a lot to me.

This song may be sensitive to some people. However, this stuff has to be addressed. It can save those in need for help. I highly recommend this song. Now matter how hard something may be, you will get through it. Whether you believe it or not.
