The Viking inspired death-metal band Amon Amarth has gained fame in the metal community by their image and their very brutal music. They have been turning behind great music since the early 2000s. Some of their greatest albums are Surtur Rising, Twilight of the Thunder God, and With Odin by our side.

Most of the music they make is inspired by Nordic gods and battles; they have a very strong connection with their Viking roots. They have recently released their newest album titled Jomsvikings, which are a semi-legendary order of Viking mercenaries or brigands of the 10th century and 11th centuries.

The album cover depicts what would be a jomsviking–a big burly Viking with an axe in his hand and he has just killed his enemies. The album has eleven songs the tracklist:

1. First Kill 2.Wanderer 3. On a Sea of Blood 4. One Against All 5. Raise your Horns 6. The Way of Vikings 7. At Dawn’s First Light 8. One Thousand Burning Arrows 9. Vengeance is My Name 10. A Dream That Cannot be 11. Back on Northern Shores.

Overall it’s is a very good and underrated album and it is what is expected of Amon Amarth: a good, heavy, and fast album, filled with battles and stories of Vikings.
