This book is a woman’s perspective on relationships, sexuality, and gender. These poems caught my eye, making me want to Rea more and more about Kaur’s perspective on her life throughout her years. She tells her story about her life and the way certain events have changed her physically, emotionally, and mentally.

This book is filled with beauty, ugliness, sweetness, sadness, pain, and healing. Milk and Honey makes the reader ride on a rollercoaster of different emotions, Kaur tries to empower men and women to overcome the faults in their life. Milk and Honey is a work of art that is filled with sad but true stories of a woman. This book will lead you through heartbreak and renewal, and will make you weep and smile. Milk and Honey will open your eyes to so much more. This book is deep and pumps a lot of emotions into every poem. Although this book is a quick read, it is very much worth it, who knows?
