Do you have a love for music? Well, Lany would be a perfect fit for anyone willing to listen. On November 4, I attended

a Lany concert. Who is Lany, you might ask? Lany is a three-piece alternative band from California. It consists of 3 members, Paul Klein, Jake Goss and Les Priest. They became a band in the March of 2014 and since then they have released many amazing songs. Back in December of 2015, is when they released their first EP. Their music style is more of an alternative rock/indie pop. The term Lany means Los Angeles, New York. Many people are in love with the way he performs and sings. I couldn’t agree more.

The concert didn’t start until about 8 o’clock but they had a band open for them. A group named Dagny. I have never heard of this band until that night. Theirs is pretty good too. It has a feel to make you move your head a little. This band consists 3 members as well, Dangy who is the main person of it all and one backup guitarist and one drummer. They performed for about 45 minutes to an hour. They really got the crowd moving and making sure everyone stayed fresh for Lany. I was pretty impressed.

Now comes Lany. The crowd was so ecstatic with energy. LA is their hometown so everyone is obviously going to show their love and support. The start of their set was really cool. They had backgrounds panels change colors according to the song. For example, for a song called, Dumb Stuff, they had a rain type of image on the panels. This is because the song starts off with a rainy sound. I was never disappointed throughout the concert. They made everything stay alive. They either played a song everyone knew so we all sang along or Paul, the main guy, did little dances to keep the crowd going. However, the crowd had a mind of its own. Everyone was just having a great time.

The last two songs they ended it with were Super Far and ILYSB, my two favorite songs. I remember myself getting lost in the music and singing at the top of my lungs. I really recommend Lany to anyone willing to listen to them. Their music does have a little oldish style but they are really good. They play instruments like guitar, piano, and drums. The reason I say oldish is that of the piano. It has more of an 80’s feel. That’s just me, other people may disagree. however, the concert was really fun and I’d definitely do it again.
