On March 2 Blizzard released a cinematic short based on the origin story of Orisa, the next Overwatch character to be coming to the game later this month. Orisa is now in the public test region (PTR)  for PC players to help test her out before her release later this month for console players.

Orisa’s origin story is that she was once a protect robot for the city of Numbani. She was later destroyed by Doomfist in an airport. Efi Oladele was also at the airport the same day, Efi is an 11 year old engineer who turned Orisa into a hero using the scraps of the other protect bots that Doomfist destroyed.

Orisa is going to be in the tank class and she will share some abilities with the other tank heros. Orisa is a four legged robot. She is able to throw a protective barrier to protect her and her teammates from the enemies. Her main weapon is the Fusion Driver and it’s an automatic gun that shoots rapidly, it does slow her down though when she is moving and firing. She also has the ability to shoot a graviton surge that will pull the enemies in, it’s good to gather a team together so someone can use their Ult and kill them. Orisa’s ult is a Supercharger and it increases the damage of her attack as well as the attacks of her teammates.

Orisa is supposed to becoming out for everyone to play later this month. Orisa is going to be the third hero to be added to the Overwatch cast from the beginning, the difference is that her origin story isn’t finished yet. It’s should be pretty interesting to see where Orisa and Efi go in the future of the Overwatch world.
