The New Beverly Cinema, a classic old movie theater, is showing horror and thriller classics this whole month of October!

Located in Los Angeles, the theater was built in the 1920s, but it was not an actual movie theater until the 1950s. The New Bev is one of the oldest cinemas in the Los Angeles area. It’s owned by filmmaker, Quentin Tarantino since he bought it in December of 2007. It is a small theater that shows mostly old and classic movies. The theater consists of around 220 seats and one screening room with a 35mm screen. The New Bev also offers double features. You pay for regular admission and you get to see the second movie for free if you choose to.

Regular admission is only eight dollars. Snacks and drinks are extremely affordable, nothing is over five dollars. This month of October The New Bev is showing nothing but horror and thriller movies, they have showings at 2pm, and later on in the day from 8pm to 12am. The New Bev is showing movies like The Hills have Eyes 1 & 2, The Exorcist, Day of the Dead, The Crazies, Beetlejuice, Castle of Blood and more. They will also have a “From Dusk Till Dawn” marathon, showing all 3 movies featuring Planet Terror on the night of October 30th.
