The baseball world mourns again as another MLB star, Yordano Ventura, lost his life in an accident on January 22, 2017.

Ventura led the Kansas City Royals in the 2015 World Series to victory, pitching. He was drafted in MLB in 2013 and passed at age 25. He had a 38-31 career and was a starter for nine games.

The car accident took place in the Dominican Republic. It occurred on the highway in Rancho Arriba. Speed was not a factor of the accident; it was the mountainous area’s fog, and he didn’t have a seat belt on.

The Dominican Republic was his home, he lived in Las Terrenas where the funeral services will be held for him.

“He was so young and so talented, full of youthful exuberance and always brought a smile to everyone he interacted with. We will get through this as an organization, but right now is a time to mourn and celebrate the life of Yordano,” explains Royals general manager, Dayton Moore. Moore remembers and always will remember him as a fierce competitor.
