A treasured rivalry between Colton and Grand Terrace has set the sight for a classic girls soccer game; however, the game ended in a 5-1 loss for the Yellowjackets, adding another win to GT’s two game winning streak. Before the game, some of the players gave their predictions for the final outcome.  Most players had the same confident opinion: “We are going to beat GT,we can already count this game as a win.” But it was not to be.

In the first half, the varsity Yellowjackets put on a massive war against the Titans.  Freshman Krystal Franco was injured during the game as she was knocked down mid-game, making the opposing team take out one of our own. However, by the end of the half Grand Terrace claimed its dominance by taking the lead, 3-1.

By the second half, it seemed as if Colton had cooled down its fire from the first and let Grand Terrace score multiple times and make an even bigger gap in the scoreboard. In the end, it was to late for the Lady Jackets as it ended their three game winning streak.
