AP testing causes confusion among students

AP+testing+causes+confusion+among+students

This year we have had many schedule changes, and the AP test has been one of the most challenging ones this year. Students taking AP test have had to prepare all year long, yet during the last month what most AP Teachers do is just review to help them prepare for the test.

With this new testing schedule students have found it hard to find time to prepare for the test because they have finals and AP test cramped up upon one another. Both finals for the class and AP testing all in the same weeks have been a major way to put stress on top of stress. This way students must prepare for two tests instead of one and for some even more preparation is required since there are students taking more than one AP test, some have up to five AP tests to take.

It would have been a lot easier to just have AP test earlier in the month rather than piled up to the end of the school year, every teacher gives finals and projects so having to stress out about it all at the end is too much for some. Some do say that it is a good thing because once school is over it will have all paid off, yeah it will if you have the time to finish it all. If you don’t finish it all then your grades drop and if you don’t study for the AP you won’t pass, most likely. It takes time to be able and become better at what you have been learning and having to scramble to get everything done leaves no time for studying.

AP testing schedules should definitely be improved and they should keep in mind that students have more than one AP classes and are sometimes missing one whole day of school after another to take these AP exams. This time takes away from our learning in those classes those days. Students shouldn’t have to scramble to get things done and should have time to study because for many, their goal has been to be able and pass the AP exams in order to be able and get credit.
