It is common to hear the omniscient argument of being a Democrat or Republican, and which one is better than the other. However, most of the buffoons who claim to know about politics don’t know any more than a child.
Back in 2012, when the election was over, I happened to come across two people who asked each other if they prefer being Democrat or Republican. One of them asked a question that I will never forget: “What’s the difference?”
Unfortunately, there was no trace of sarcasm or humor in his monotonous robotic voice. He was completely serious, and also oblivious to the distinction between the two main parties.
I assumed that he at least knew the colors of the parties, red for Republicans and blue for Democrats. But I still couldn’t grasp the fact that he knew nothing.
The main difference between them is the way they want the government to be. Democrats believe that the government should take care of its inhabitants, pretty much at any cost. Republicans feel that people, as individuals, should take care of themselves and others, and that government should only assist if absolutely necessary.
I personally find it one of the most difficult things in the world to choose between being a helpless little baby (Democrat) or a selfish fat cat (Republican) in order to vote in a primary.
Maybe it is better to just vote based on your proper judgment than on a designated belief, at least according to me.
I can say in confidence that some who have high insight, such as yours truly, know who will and will not do what is best for the nation and not their political party. The main person I can think of is the late Teddy Roosevelt.
We need another guy like him, and hopefully whoever that is won’t get assassinated.
