Presidential election: flip a coin

Presidential election: flip a coin

For the past year, one of the biggest things on people’s minds is the 2012 presidential election. It has been a hectic year for both candidates, and come November 6th, one will be announced as the president.

As everyone knows, our current president is Barack Obama, who blew us all away last election with his inspiring catchphrases and slogans. However, the president has done few things to bring the nation back from the recession. His actions have caused some to question whether or not he should be elected again.

Ex-Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, however, has undoubtedly proven that he is fit to be the leader of the nation. Though he might not cut taxes for the middle class, seeing as how he is a republican, he does have a slight lead over Obama in some polls.

Romney and Obama have been going at it over the past few months in debates. Obama didn’t make very many strong points at any debate, but Romney showed that he knew what he was talking about with well-detailed plans.

Obama is now behind Romney in practically everything. Romney is ahead by 7 percent, according to the latest Gallup poll, and is continuing to rise, while Obama is at a falling 45 percent. Considering the polls, Obama is not moving “Forward,” he is going backwards.

Some people still are unsure of whom to vote for, despite the fact that Romney is in the lead. Some, like me, find it rather difficult to choose between a blue, lazy excuse of a horse, and a gargantuan red beast that will trample everyone in sight.

Perhaps it is just better to enjoy listening to their petty squabbles and take a wild guess at who will emerge victorious. For me, I’m guessing Obama. Romney may not win in a way similar to George W. Bush vs. Al Gore. Though Romney has the popular vote, Obama just might win more electoral votes and be elected once again.

Personally, I’m quite worried of the outcomes of the election, much like most of the nation. All we can do is wait and see who will be our next president for four long years.
