There has been controversy among the media, the public, and the mothers of young beauty pageant girls between the ages of 4-12  years old who are dressed provocatively and are displayed as women 3 times their age.   A young girl’s childhood should simply consist of playing on playgrounds, laughing and giggling, playing with dolls, running wild and just being a child, but the mothers of these young girls have chosen for their babies to be paraded around as something that they’re not.

The grueling efforts that are put into making their child become “beautiful” puts so much stress on the kid when they shouldn’t even have to stress about anything until they’re much, much older.  The time that it takes to put on make-up, synthetic hair, eyelashes, teeth, nails, etc. everything you can think of as being “FAKE” is being applied and invested onto these little girls. The media has turned their heads towards such a thing because the fact that these children are being paraded in provocative attire and are perceived as a much younger version of much older women is almost too hard to believe.  The mothers of these children put all the costumes, the routines, the make-up, the hair, together all so that they can win $12,000 in cash prizes.

These mothers would much rather have their child perceived as something so wrong and vile to the public than have them perceived as beautiful and natural, the publics’ perception of their daughters seems to be outrageous but it seems so right in their eyes.  These mothers don’t understand all of the dangers that they are opening up for their children when they choose to publicize them; they don’t see all of the sex offenders or the predators lurking around on the internet or the streets and where are all the fathers in this mix? The fact that they let their wives do such an act to their daughters makes them just as guilty as they are.
