Saturday, police shot a 15 year old in front of a high school as the teen pointed a BB gun at the two officers.

The teen was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A 911 call came in from an unidentified source that wouldn’t expose their name asking officers to check on the welfare of an unarmed boy standing in front of Torrey Pines High School.

It was later determined that the unidentified caller was the boy himself.

Police stated that the boy  pulled out a gun pointing in their direction as they exited the patrol car. They repeatedly gave orders for him to drop it yet the suspect still refused to do so. The officers fired in self defense and struck him several times.

Investigators later discovered the weapon was a BB gun but the officers couldn’t tell because it was a hand gun.

After tracing the call, police came to a conclusion that they were drawn to the school as a part of his suicide plot.
