Art has been viewed many different ways, and continues to evolve to this day. For Colton High alumni Geo (his artistic moniker), it has progressed from simple sketches to beautiful masterpieces that appear to be straight out of a dream.

Geo is a local artist who began drawing two years ago. Geo has come from simple drawings of Pokémon and Dragonball Z to portraits of Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison. Being inspired by the arcade game Space Invader, he started drawing then moved to spray paint. Geo bases his art on music–strictly hip-hop and classic rock. He has done many stencils of the Wu-Tang clan, Nas, MF Doom, Hieroglyphics, Atmosphere, Murs, Jimi Hendrix, and the Doors.

He spray paints on canvas and grip tape but would like to move to walls. Being a skateboarder, Geo was a good friend of William J. Bond whom passed away on October 3rd of last year. That being, he made a stencil of Will. The Will stencil has been seen on many skateboards and even the banners that were carried at last year’s graduation in memory of Will.

Geo was asked by fellow friends of Will’s to make banners for their graduation. He proudly accepted, and was one of many to see his friends carry those banners in memory of Will.

Geo shows much love to his friends and to Will by doing the stencil on their grip tapes for free. Being close as brothers to Will, Geo says, “I don’t ever get tired of spray painting it, every Will grip tape I do becomes my new favorite piece.”

Shown in many ways, Geo puts his heart and soul in his art.
