“Ghost ships” raise questions on the high seas

Ghost ships raise questions on the high seas

In 2009, a fleet of so called “Ghost Ships” were spotted off the shore of Singapore. The amount of the “Ghost ships” outnumbered US and British navy combined. These ships had no crew, cargo, or designated destination set. Freaky right? What would you think if you lived in Singapore and all of a sudden an empty fleet is at your doorstep? Next on the list is the unusual Humming Noise that happens all over the globe, from Britain to Scotland, from the USA to New Mexico. This noise is an unusual constant humming that happens for hours at a time.

So, what’s worse so far? A gigantic ghost fleet that outnumbers two countries forces combined or unexplainable humming seemingly from everywhere, or even better than those, things that travel so fast they cannot be seen with the naked eye, and are everywhere? That’s right, unseen “things” that only appear in still photos or slowed down recorded footage. It is unknown what these are or where they come from, but they are referred to as “Rods”. Just imagine, at this very moment numerous rod shaped things are zooming by your head at extremely high speeds. What if one were to hit you at this very moment, would it have an effect like a bullet or saw blade?

Are these things apparitions, or some sort of creature that can just pass through you? Who knows, we certainly can’t catch these much less get a good look at them! So what seemed the freakiest to you? A ghost fleet at your coast, an unknown humming coming from everywhere, or unseen rods that can possibly kill or just go through you?

Our Goal

Recently, the CHS Publications Department experienced a major theft as over $20,000 in photography equipment was stolen from our studio over Spring Break. This included all cameras. Any amount you donate will help rebuild our program. Thank you!
